Timing

When You Will Actually Get Home

Ships usually dock early and disembark in groups over two to three hours. Tell us your disembarkation group and we time the pickup to it; these examples then add the 1 hr 40 min drive to Bargo.

Ship DocksYou Walk Out AroundHome By

We track the ship, so if disembarkation runs late the driver waits at no charge. The fare is $275, plus $20 before 6am, $10 after 8pm or $20 after 10pm.

An Honest Comparison

The Hire Car Question

A fair question, and sometimes the right answer.

If you are staying a week and plan to drive around the region every day, hire a car — we would tell you that rather than take the booking. If you are here for a wedding, a weekend or a stay at one venue, a transfer in and out is usually cheaper and considerably less trouble.

The Run

The Road Home

It is 98 km from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay or White Bay to Bargo, and we allow 1 hr 40 min behind the wheel. You're on the Wollondilly side of the Highlands, which is the closest corner of our service area to Sydney — the run down the Hume is short enough that a mid-morning flight doesn't need a pre-dawn start.

Coming home the pressure comes off, which is exactly when tiredness lands. The run into the Highlands is long enough that doing it yourself after a flight is a genuinely worse idea than it sounds.

Bargo is one of the closest suburbs we serve to Sydney — 5 of our 54 pickup points sit nearer the city, which is why the fare is at the lower end of our range. The nearest comparison points are Thirlmere at 83 km and Buxton at 88 km, so if you have been quoted for one of those you already know roughly where this sits. Within the Wollondilly corridor zone the typical run is 83 km; yours is 15 km longer than that.

Arrivals

Finding the Driver

Nothing about the arrival is left to chance. The ship is tracked, the driver is briefed with your name and number, and the meeting point is sent to your phone before the doors open.

The driver waits at the designated pick-up area at the terminal. We do not offer a meet-and-greet inside the terminal — we collect you kerbside at the designated pick-up point, which is quicker, and it is already in the fare. Waiting time and parking are already inside your $275, so a two-hour delay costs you nothing.

Common Questions

Arriving in Bargo — Before You Book

How much is a transfer from the Sydney cruise terminals to Bargo?

$275 one way for one to two passengers, fixed before you travel, with tolls, fuel and GST included. The drive is 98 km and takes about 1 hr 40 min. It is the same fare in either direction.

How long does it take to get to Bargo from the airport?

About 1 hr 40 min for the 98 km run in normal conditions, plus however long you take to clear the terminal. Landing at 9:15am you would typically be at your door in Bargo a little after 11:25am.

Do you serve hotels and venues around Bargo?

Yes, and we know most of them. Drop-offs at Highlands hotels, resorts and wedding venues are routine — see our venue pages for the ones we run most often.

Do you take groups with a lot of luggage?

Up to eleven passengers in one vehicle, and every fare allows a check-in bag and a carry-on each. If you are arriving with more than that, say so when you book: extra bags are $5 each and bulky items $10 each.

What if I am delayed?

We monitor your flight or ship and adjust. Waiting time and airport parking are already inside the fixed fare, so a delay does not change what you pay and we will still be there.

Where do you meet me at the Sydney cruise terminals?

At the designated pick-up area at the terminal, not inside the arrivals hall. We text you the exact spot before you arrive, along with the driver's name and the vehicle.
